Adani and Ambani are among the prominent wealthy business figures in India. Last year, Mukesh Ambani spent nearly ₹5,000 crores on an extravagant wedding for his youngest son, Anant Ambani. The event drew a lot of attention, with Mumbai buzzing from attendees both domestic and international. Recently, in 2025, another wealthy individual from the country, Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Adani Group, celebrated the wedding of his youngest son, Jeet Adani. However, unlike Ambani, Adani did not conduct his son's wedding in such an extravagant manner. Instead, he organized a simple event and announced a donation of ₹10,000 crores.
A significant portion of the donation will be allocated to health care, education, and skill development. It was revealed that the focus of this contribution would be on providing better hospitals and medical colleges to people from all sections of society. Additionally, funds will be used to upgrade global skills academies. Adani also posted wedding photos from his son's wedding on his Twitter account. However, he apologized for not inviting close ones to the event. He shared that the ceremony took place in Ahmedabad, surrounded by traditional customs and celebrations with loved ones.
Before the wedding, the Adani Group launched the "Mangal Seva" initiative. Under this initiative, financial assistance is provided every year to 500 newly married disabled women. According to information provided by the Adani Group, each year, ₹10 lakhs is allocated to help them start a new life. Jeet Adani personally met 25 newly married disabled women and their husbands, offering them financial aid.
